What limitations currently apply to MCP in Localo
How to connect Localo with AI tools
1 - What is Model Context Protocol (MCP)?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a standard that allows AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to securely connect with external applications like Localo.
It creates a controlled connection between AI and your Localo account, allowing the AI assistant to access selected information through authorized access.
MCP defines:
what data can be accessed
which actions are allowed
how the connection stays secure
Thanks to MCP, Localo data can be used directly inside AI conversations.
2 - How to use Localo data and MCP Integrations?
MCP helps AI tools work more effectively with business applications and real-time data.
After connecting Localo with ChatGPT or Claude, you can use AI to:
analyze keyword rankings
compare GBP visibility with competitors
review SEO performance trends
generate summaries and reports
speed up repetitive SEO analysis tasks
Instead of manually checking different sections of Localo, you can work directly from AI chat using your Localo data.
2.21 Practical use of Localo data in AI chats
Once you connect Localo with an AI tool, you can analyze local SEO data, compare different Google Business Profiles, and combine Localo insights with other marketing data.
Area of analysis | Example prompt | What you can learn |
Local SEO vs. website SEO | “For which keywords does my website rank well, while my Google Business Profile has low visibility?” | Whether your website SEO and Google Maps visibility support each other |
Multiple location comparison | “Which of my locations has the highest visibility?” | Which Google Business Profiles perform best and which need attention |
Businesses in the same industry | “Compare the visibility of five restaurants in this city.” | Which businesses dominate local results and for which keywords |
Competitor analysis | “For which keywords are my competitors more visible than I am?” | Where competitors have an advantage and where new opportunities may exist |
Changes over time | “Which keywords improved the most over the last month?” | The biggest increases, drops, and visibility changes |
Geographic area analysis | “Show me the areas where my rankings have dropped.” | In which parts of the city your visibility is weakest |
Action priorities | “Which location should I optimize first?” | Where to start and which actions should be prioritized |
Reporting | “Prepare a short local SEO summary for my client.” | Key results, issues, and recommendations in one response |
AI helps you analyze and compare data available in Localo. It does not automatically publish content or make changes to your Google Business Profiles.
