🔁 1 - How can I change my subscription plan?
Need to upgrade or downgrade your current plan?
In the My account section, select the Subscription tab.
You’ll see your current plan and available upgrade options.
Click Manage subscription and Change Plan to switch to a different subscription.
Choose Get started on the plan you want to upgrade or downgrade as below
🔍 2 - Subscription billing rules for plan switching
How subscription upgrades and downgrades are handled in two popular payment platforms: PayU and Paddle?
👉 PayU
Upgrade:
When a user upgrades their subscription, the billing period is extended, and the user pays the price difference for the new, higher plan. This means the user immediately gains access to the upgraded features, and their subscription is recalculated so that the new billing cycle reflects the higher plan and the additional payment.Downgrade:
When downgrading, the billing period is also extended. However, instead of a refund, the price difference (the amount already paid for the higher plan) is credited and can be used for future payments. This ensures that users do not lose value from their previous payment and can apply any surplus to upcoming charges.

Upgrade:
When upgrading, the billing period remains unchanged. The user pays the price difference for the higher plan, but the renewal date does not change. This means the upgrade takes effect immediately, but the next billing date stays the same as before the upgrade.Downgrade:
When downgrading, the billing period also remains unchanged. There is no mention of any additional modifiers or credits; the downgrade simply takes effect, and the next renewal date stays the same
