1 - What is Model Context Protocol (MCP)?

Model Context Protocol (MPC) is a way for applications to securely provide context/data to an AI model (like ChatGPT or Claude) in a structured, controlled manner.

MCP defines how an application sends data to the model, determines what information the model is allowed to access, and ensures that tools, APIs, or databases are exposed in a secure and controlled way.

2 - Why does MCP exist?

When you connect your app to ChatGPT or other LLMs, you can:

  • Read user data

  • Access internal systems (CRM, files, etc.)

  • Take actions (send emails, update records)

  • Link it with other tools

3 - MCP limitation in the Localo app

There are two main limitations via MCP:

  • You will not be able to access the Billing section (change the plan)

  • You will not be able to send information via MCP to Google (as you can do directly through the Localo app)

4 - ChatGPT Connector

4.1 Find API/MCP in Localo's "Settings''

4.2 Create Token and give it a name

Copy and save the token (it won't be displayed again)

4.3 Open GPT and go to the''Settings''

4.4 Then ''Apps'' tab and ''Advanced settings''

4.5 Enable ''Developer mode'' and go back to Settings

4.6 Now you can add the Localo MCP to ChatGPT

1 - Give a token a name

2 - Copy the MCP Server URL from Localo:

3 - Go to advance settings (please note that this section is available only if the MCP is filled out)

4 - Fill out OAuth Client ID (Organization ID): (1)

5 - Fill out OAuth Client Secret (2) (it is a token that you have created at the beginning of configuration)

6 - Configure OAuth endpoints

5 - Claude Connector

5.1 Find API/MCP in Localo ''Settings''

5.2 Log in to your Claude account

5.3 Go to the ''Settings''

5.4 Click on ''Connectors'' and then ''Add custom connector''

5.5. Fill in all necessary data

1 - Connector Name

2 - Copy ''MCP Server URL'' from Localo and paste it here (2)

3 - Copy ''OAuth Client ID'' from Localo and paste it here (3)

And ''Create Token'' as below

Fill in token's name and click on ''Create''

Then you your Token will be created.

Copy it

And paste it into the 4. step in Connectors' settings ''OAuth Client Secret''

Once all information is entered, add custom connector.

After successful connection, your connector will be visible here:

Then you can go back to the chat window and start any search/query you want.
