1 - What is Visibility Scan in Localo?
Visibility Scan is a feature feature available to users on PRO and Enterprise plans. It helps you simulate visibility in areas not yet onboarded, making it easier to plan expansions or client pitches.
Once you upgrade to an eligible plan, you’ll see a “Pro features” button in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Then click "Client acquisition" --> "Visibility Scan" --> "Create grid".
2 - What type of usability and options Visibility Scan has to offer?
Visibility Scan essentially will allow you to check 3 things:
See how your potential clients appear in Google Maps search results based on their geographic location and the keywords you choose.
After adding the business of interest to Localo's Visibility Scan
You can use advanced options (1) and choose between different sizes of available grids (2)
You can also check the physical location of your client’s closest competitors—giving valuable insight into local competition, ranking potential, and how challenging it may be to reach the top.

Press a point in the middle of the grid (this grid point is closest to your physical localization) 2
On the map, you will see the geographic localization of all the competitors that are ranking in the top 20 Google Map Search results for the keyword that has been checked (3 - example of competitor localization on the map)
To see details for a specific location, hover over any pin on the map. The list on the left will automatically update to show information related to that exact point. Want to return to the full view? Just click the "Back to Grid" button.
The third way to use Visibility Scan is to see how competitors rank in Google Maps for your chosen keywords across different locations. Simply click on any point in the grid, and you'll see a list of the top 20 businesses ranking at that exact spot—displayed in the sidebar for quick analysis.
For example, click here (1) to see who ranks highest at this specific location—the results will appear in section (2).
3 - What are the limits and restrictions?
Visibility Scan is available to all users on PRO and Enterprise plans.
For users who want to check the position maps of other businesses without adding them to their subscription, Visibility Scan provides a valuable solution in the PRO or Enterprise plans.
It’s included in your subscription, but usage is subject to monthly search limits based on your plan.
Each search refers to:
- ✅ *Generating a visibility grid* for a specific keyword and location
- ✅ *Generating a Leads Finder list* to analyze competitors
🔢 Monthly search limits by plan:

PRO 120 | 600 searches/month |
📌 Both types of research—visibility grids and Leads Finder lists—count toward your monthly quota.
🗓️ Important:
Search limits reset based on your billing cycle.
For example, if your plan started on May 5th, your search limit will reset on June 5th, and so on each month.

To upgrade your plan and unlock Visibility Scan, navigate to your subscription settings, select 'Upgrade Plan,' choose the desired higher-tier plan (e.g., PRO 10 or Enterprise), and confirm the upgrade.
